RELIGIOUS EDUCATION (CCD)
Religious Education classes are offered by volunteers for children from Kindergarten to Eighth Grade who attends public or private non-Catholic schools. Children attend the 9 AM mass with their parents and classes are offered from 10 AM to 11:15 AM in the school on Sundays.

GROVE OUTREACH
The Grove Outreach is a place on which the Church purchases and distributes every Saturday food to the poor of the area. It also offers medical assistance and legal advise, free of charge. This work is totally managed by lay volunteers of St. Hugh Parish.

MINISTRY TO THE SICK
Volunteers visit Coral Gables Hospital and nursing homes to visit the sick and bring communion to them.

LITURGICAL MINISTERS
Lectors: volunteers proclaim the Word of God at the Sunday and
daily masses.

Eucharistic Ministers: appointed by the Pastor, they assist in distributing Holy Communion at Sunday masses.

English and Spanish Choirs: Singers volunteer at the 10:30 AM Sunday mass in English and the 12:00 Pm mass in Spanish.

Ushers: assist in taking up the collection at each Sunday mass.

Musicians: professional musicians provide music at all Sunday liturgies.

Altar Servers: Children who have received First Holy Communion can serve at Sunday masses.

A Holy Hour is offered every Friday after the 8:00 AM mass in the rectory chapel. During Lent, a Holy Hour is offered in the church daily.

BAPTISMAL PREPARATION
Parents and god-parents who children to be baptized must attend a Baptismal class to reflect on the responsibilities they undertake when baptizing their children.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION
Couples wishing to celebrate their weddings at St. Hugh must: Contact the office in person to schedule a wedding date Interview with a priest or deacon

Attend the Engaged Encounter (English) or Camino (Spanish). Both programs are offered by the Archdiocese. Take the FOCUS instrument to measure their communication skills wedding rehearsal
in the church.

BIBLE CLASSES
Bible Classes are offered throughout the year in cycles of five or six weeks.

ALTAR SOCIETY
Volunteer women who take care of the altar and sacristy every Monday morning.

EMMAUS RETREATS
Emmaus Retreats are given twice a year for men and women, alternating one in English and the following in Spanish.
Emmaus is a week-end experience to enrich our relationship with the Lord.

ST. VINCENT DE PAUL SOCIETY
The Vincentians help needy families who live within our parish boundaries. Donations are collected after each Sunday mass by volunteers.

RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is offered for adults who wish to join the Catholic Church. The RCIA is offered on Sundays at 10 AM during the school year.

Non-baptized adults prepare to receive the three sacraments of initiation
(Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist) at the Easter Vigil. Baptized Christians receive the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

MISSIONS
Many parishioners are involved in missionary activities in Latin America directed by St. Hugh parishioners and other Catholic missions throughout the year.
